Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

  • Performs preliminary dental examinations of patients and records findings. Provides initial review of patient medical records.
  • Performs prophylactic and preventive treatments prior to examination of patient by dentist. Sets up and closes out clinic rooms in accordance with established regulations. Takes radiographs and maintains dental records and charts.
  • Provide oral hygiene instruction to patients on an individual basis. Assists in presenting oral hygiene instruction before groups.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

  • Graduation from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association with an associate in arts degree in dental hygiene and two years' experience in direct dental patient care.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, and methods of dental hygiene.
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures and patient care. Knowledge of the use, care, and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment. Knowledge of dental radiology. Knowledge of OSHA and MOSH regulations pertaining to dentistry.
