Requirements:

This position requires travel to various job sites throughout the U.S. approximately 50% of the year. Most of the projects are based in major cities. The bulk of the travel occurs from April through October.


When on the road, you will be eligible for additional compensation based on the longer hours and weekend work required. Meals, hotel, and travel expenses are paid by the company.


When on a project site, the field engineer will represent Impact and manage site relations. Responsibilities often include managing subcontractors, participating in the installation of conveyor systems, testing the equipment, providing training, and performing startup support. Duties vary based on the complexity of the installation – every project will be a little different.


When not on a project site, the engineer will work in Impact’s Columbia, Maryland, office. He or she will be preparing drawings, documentation, and developing plans for upcoming projects. You will also help to close out existing projects.


All candidates must be able to climb ladders and lift 70 lb boxes. A track record of success is required - advanced degrees are not. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide documentation demonstrating the right to work in the United States upon hire. This position is subject to the E-Verify program.
