Administrative Assistant

Centre Law & Consulting (www.centrelawgroup.com) is a boutique law firm specializing in representing federal government contractors.

Centre is actively looking for an Administrative Assistant to assist with training coordination and provide support for the attorneys. You will be responsible for event logistics, scheduling / coordination of all training activities, and day-of event hosting duties. We have our own training facility at our office in Tysons, Virginia. Our training is both in-person and virtual. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to learn how to use our training technology and grow in this position.

You will also support the office as the front desk receptionist by answering the phones, placing orders for office and kitchen supplies, ensuring the kitchen is organized, picking up mail, coordinating meetings, and general ad-hoc support as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Organize pre- and day-of meeting activities, including, but not limited to, development of promotional materials, speaker arrangements, pre-and post-registration and event requirements, distribution of course materials, catering, room set-up, use of audio-visual equipment, and any special requirements.
  • Serve as day-of contact to provide on-site (or remote) assistance to attendees and trainers.
  • Assist with logistics for Centre’s one-day Annual Review conference to be held in Q1 2024
  • Assist our Marketing Manager with marketing initiatives to promote trainings, including, but not limited to, email marketing, social media organic and paid advertising, etc.
  • Assist with preparation of PowerPoint slide decks and other course material.
  • Answer phones.
  • Serve as front desk receptionist and be the point of contact for inbound and outbound deliveries and with building management on needed office repairs.
  • Provide as needed support to attorneys in the office.
  • Order office, kitchen and food supplies to ensure no shortages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and function of the kitchen.
  • Must have excellent professional presentation, communication and client service skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Technically competent in Microsoft Office 365 and learning new software to manage training activities.
  • High School diploma
  • Associate degree is a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills with the ability to timely complete handle multiple, overlapping, assignments, and great problem-solving ability.
  • Must be in the local DMV area and have transportation or access to Metro to be in our Tysons, Viriginia office at least three days a week.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
