Job Description

Parker Hannifin - Bioscience & Water Filtration Division, located in Oxnard, CA, is seeking a Summer Supply Chain intern. As an intern, you will get hands on experience with supply chain management, project management, freight procurement, import/export compliance, and KPI development/maintenance. This is an onsite role based out of Oxnard, California.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining KPI's, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Learn all aspects of the division's transportation network.
  • Attend required training courses including effective presentations and negotiation skills as necessary.
  • Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, operations and a host of other functional areas as necessary.
  • Contribute to transportation management projects, including freight procurement, import/export compliance, and project management.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States.
  • Strong academic performance and a keen interest in supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to assist in the planning and execution of transportation management projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with various functional areas including engineering, accounting, quality, and operations.
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable, with a willingness to learn all aspects of the division's transportation network, including freight procurement, import/export compliance, and project management.

Compensation: $18.00 to $24.00 depending on experience.
