Summary
Justrite is looking for a Quality Assurance Tech for their Mattoon operations. You will support the quality production of safety cabinets/cans and other associated products by performing various duties including inspecting, measuring, testing, recordkeeping and sampling of products and materials throughout the manufacturing and production process. This position will report to the Quality Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists in the inspection and testing of incoming materials and products to ensure they are within specification.
* Perform periodic quality audits on the shop floor to monitor specific specifications.
* Work with agency(UL/FM/TUV) auditors as required to support periodic inspections.
* Collect daily quality info like scrap logs and complete the appropriate inventory transactions.
* Generate non-conforming material reports on parts/assemblies that do not meet specification.
* Assist in maintaining the gage calibration system.
* Inspects customer returns and records information into the system. Assist the Quality Engineer in identifying problems and resolving issues.
* Enters data and assists in the analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly QA reports.
* Provides assistance to immediate supervisor on special assignments and programs, such as collecting data and conducting inspections of processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision
* Able to read, write and have knowledge of measurements and weights.
* Must be able to learn and use standard quality tools like micrometers, calipers, hardness machine, thread/plug gages, MIL thickness gages, etc.
* Must have basic functional knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
* Must be possess basic computer skills and be able to operate a calculator.
* Must be able to communicate effectively both in a written and verbal format.
* Must be able to become fork truck certified within the facility.
