Primary Purpose of the Position
Provide comprehensive hands-on field training for all employees/departments, including an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and performance. Training will be facilitated on different parts of the ramp and with various departments.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities for monitoring/documenting all employee's progression in the various stages of training/learning will include, but is not limited to:
    • Keeps records of all training both physical and digital
    • Ramp driving course
    • Ensure audit compliance and work with auditors to supply requested information
    • SOP familiarization and compliance
    • Coordination with internal company HS&E
    • NATA - profile set up, CBT assignments, facilitation
    • OJT - GSE, LST and CSR functions to include Recording of Progress/Signoff, Recurrent Training, Safety retraining, X1, Radio Communication, Wing Walking, Escorting,
    • Towing - facilitation, recommendation for sign off, ride along (requires mgmt. sign off)
    • Rapid Refueling - safety differences, classroom, dry runs, wet runs (must be completed on each aircraft type).
    • Airline Training - coordinate with all airlines to setup classes, ensure employees attend and pass, track compliance and recurrent dates, deicing compliance, ensure train-the-trainer compliance (self/line mgmt./ops mgr.) (must be completed for all airlines and sub-carriers)
    • Coordinate Fire Safety Course / Practical exam & stair truck training with local ARFF/OPS
    • Fuel loads and quality control measures
    • Training and tracking of daily equipment/fuel farm checks
    • Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, operation/signoff
    • CBT assignments for all team members

  • Compliance with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the company and industry.
  • Coordinate with third parties to facilitate necessary training signoffs.
  • Keep up on train-the-trainer training with various vendors and customers.
  • Perform daily evaluation of trainees as they accomplish given tasks and retention of knowledge.
  • Communicate and provide performance tracking reports to managers and supervisors.
  • Meet with the members of the management staff to monitor employee progress and plan improvements.
  • Perform regular Line Service or Customer Service Duties as necessary for operational needs.
  • Demonstrates above average attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Maintain professional well-groomed appearance in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years minimum previous experience in the aviation industry.
  • The ability to perform administrative tasks, clerical tasks, computer-based program data entry/reporting, and projects as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience and functional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work off hours to accommodate different shift's training needs.
  • Must hold a valid State Driver's License

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a training role
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ramp operations and aircraft servicing experience
  • Fully completed the NATA Safety 1st training program
  • Quality Control Product Integrity training.
  • Operational experience in Commercial Airlines ground support & fueling
  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT safety regulations

Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA Status: This position is nonexempt.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including but not limited to aviation fuels, oils, and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Travel: This position requires minimal travel.

Physical Requirements: Physically able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold. May be required to work various times including nights, weekends, and holidays.
