Job Summary:
Classic Ford - Smithfield is seeking an experienced and highly organized Automotive Service Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our service department, the Automotive Service Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching service requests to our technicians and ensuring timely and efficient completion of all repairs and maintenance work. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities:
•Receive and review service requests from customers and internal staff
•Assign and dispatch service requests to appropriate technicians based on skill level and availability
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service requests, technicians' schedules, and completed work
•Communicate with customers regarding the status of their service requests and provide estimated completion times
•Monitor work progress to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance
•Troubleshoot and resolve any scheduling or operational issues that may arise
•Collaborate with the service manager to optimize technician productivity and department efficiency
•Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and professional working environment
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•At least 2 years of experience in a similar automotive service dispatching role
•Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes
•Excellent communication and customer service skills
•Proficient in using computer systems and software, particularly automotive service management software
•Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
•Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
