The Warehouse & Delivery Driver will execute operations stocking & preparing orders of building materials for distribution to a network of customers. Customer service and team-oriented focus are of utmost importance. The work environment will consist of inside and outside work areas. Each type of loading and unloading requires strict attention to safety and order accuracy. Will drive company vehicles to make customer deliveries obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Must maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and an acceptable driving record. This position requires well-defined detailed work while producing repeatable and consistently accurate results.

Requirements

• Pre-trip vehicle inspection completed daily before departure
• Review all orders to determine if they are picked correctly
• Follow daily operations schedule, with an ability to adjust to customer needs
• Ensure orders are free of damage and report to management as needed
• Banding, wrapping, or packaging material for shipping on commercial trucks & trailers
• Assist in loading correct materials onto the correct trucks for delivery
• Follow safety guidelines regarding proper lifting
• Wear proper PPE (hard hat, gloves, fall protection, safety glasses, high vis vest)
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area
• Routine vehicle maintenance (lube, check fluids, etc.) and report any issues to your supervisor
• Notify your supervisor of any DOL violations/inspections (company and personal)
• Works closely with management and other employees to complete daily tasks
• Help to continually organize and clean both warehouse and yard work areas
• Management will provide support when the job requires work to be completed under pressure or in changing situations
• When there is a change in the structure of work or scope of responsibility, ample time will be provided to learn the new work thoroughly with the opportunity for repetitive practice
• Accomplish tasks thoroughly, accurately, and on time

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Valid Class B license (preferred) and acceptable driving record
• One year of box truck driving experience
• Able to lift 40-70 pounds throughout the workday
