Job Title: Mobile Hit Lab/Store Hybrid

Department: Omnichannel

Reports to: Brand Store Manager

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC Brand Store- 4619 Factory Stores Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

FLSA Status: Exempt

General Overview: The Mobile Hit Lab/Store Hybrid team member, will be responsible for activating event-based sales / bat demos and selling product while creating awareness and driving traffic back to our brand retail store. This team member will be responsible for coordinating field demos for new and existing Easton/Rawlings Baseball and Softball Products. This position will also assist the Easton/Rawlings Product and Brand teams with player feedback, social media support, and product insights.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implementing plans to achieve high results in sales and customer service expectations set forth by the director of Retail – Omnichannel.
  • Leads the coordination and organization of the grass roots event schedule and activation. Attends events and sells product, onsite, to players, parents, and coaches.
  • Develops strong local relationships with influencers, travel organizations, tournament directors, and coaches to routinely test/promote Easton/Rawlings product in the field.
  • Assists the store manager, MHL manager, and the Category Management teams to develop reports and surveys to effectively report and organize player feedback.
  • Works with Category Management teams to assist in product development initiatives and timelines with valuable on-field product insights.
  • Assists the Sales/Marketing team with Easton/Rawlings Mobile Hit Lab objectives – brand storytelling, and sales driving initiatives.
  • Partner with brand marketing to execute on site activations, ensuring visual merchandising standards are upheld.
  • Manages the sales performance in brand store to meet sales and margin goals.
  • Upholds Company standards for merchandise presentation.
  • Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for hourly associates.
  • Issues appropriate counseling and disciplinary action to those associates who fail to meet our performance standards.
  • Ensures compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention and cash handling procedures.
  • Responsible for inventory management including stocktakes & cycle counts.
  • Ensuring all inventory is kept securely and accurately reflected in the retail POS software.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities on an as needed basis as set forth by the Manager.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Extensive relationship building and experience with Travel Baseball and Softball.
  • Ability to travel and work from the road approximately 50% of the year.
  • High level of organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, co-workers, and authorities, along with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly understand challenges and concerns and develop resolutions.
  • Work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
  • Exercise high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions: Physical surroundings are generally indoor and outdoor, pleasant, and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Some physical effort required, setup and tear down activities of company marketing tools. Typically seated or standing with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Will also work in general retail store setting. Travel is required for this role.
