Certified Automotive Mechanic

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment.
• Ability to test drive all vehicles repaired.
• Ability to perform complex automotive vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Assess tread levels and valve quality on tires & check wear patterns.
• Mounts/demounts tires
• Ensures conformance to industry standards
• Examines and repairs tires;
• Performs preventative maintenance; and responds to emergency road calls as needed.
• Perform vehicle alignments

Requirements


Education and/or Experience: Must meet or exceed standards set by the industry recognized trade organizations. High School diploma required. Must have experience & formal training and or education in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further in this area. Must be willing to obtain ASE Certifications within 6 months of hire.

License/Certification: Valid drivers license required.

Computer Skills: Entry level knowledge of computer equipment and applicable software applications.
