Assistant General Manager- Engineering

Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager of Engineering for our manufacturing plant located in Marion, AR reporting directly to Vice President. This individual will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers in the completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs
• Hiring and leading engineering team
• Checking team’s work for technical accuracy
• Ensuring the validity of methods used by staff
• Coordinating work with other managers and staff
• Serve as main engineering contact for HINO products
• Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
• Engineer interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance: rewarding and disciplining employees: addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Automotive experience highly desirable.
• Minimum 3+ years in managing a group
