Accountant (Healthcare)

KPC Promise Healthcare : The Accountant will perform all accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and KPC Promise Healthcare Inc.’s accounting policies. He/She oversees the month-end closing process for the hospital, keeps records of financial transactions, verifies, allocates and posts details of business transaction, reconciles and balances accounts, compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, profit and loss, month-end general ledger closing, as well as assisting in the supervision of accounting, payroll, and A/P staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
2. Minimum of two years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
3. Systems experience in CPSI, Meditech, and Kronos preferred
4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Squatting - up to 10% Pulling - up to 10% Reaching - up to 35%

EXPOSURE RISK: Category III - Jobs in which required tasks involve no greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: Computer, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, scanner, printer, calculator and other standard office equipment.
