As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Estimator to play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase of our projects. Job Summary: The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting project information to assemble accurate bids and proposals. This position requires occasional travel and reports directly to the Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams. Key Responsibilities: Bid Evaluation: Evaluate bid requests and project specifications to understand the scope of work. Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to clarify project requirements and expectations. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Input and adjust quantities with a high level of accuracy to ensure precise estimations. Document Review: Review project documents, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant information. Identify potential challenges and opportunities for value engineering. Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather essential information for bid preparation. Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to develop competitive and comprehensive bid proposals. Travel: Occasionally travel to project sites for on-site assessments and to gather additional information as needed. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience estimating Commercial multi-story projects masonry/steel construction. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficient in construction estimating software, excel spreadsheets, and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
