About this job

his person will provide support to the Program Director in the areas of human resources, financial management, overseeing case management, and program planning.  Provides leadership, assistance, supervision, training, and support to team members in Evans House.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission, values, policies and procedures of Roundup Fellowship.
  • Support with ensuring program is in compliance (including documentation) with all rules and regulations including health department, fire department, human services, licensing agencies, etc.
  • Support with hiring, training, and handling discipline and termination of subordinate employees.
  • Provide direction, support, and role modeling to staff members.
  • Performs Direct Support Professional duties as needed.
  • May be asked to assist with or conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Collaborates with the Program Director to sustain, promote, and grow departmental programs and services.
  • Organizes committee meetings including determining the time and place and drafting and delivering correspondence such as agendas, minutes, and transcripts.
  • Ensure accountability of all program money including client funds, household budget, and staffing allocation.
  • Maintain frequent and professional communication with supervisors, family members, schools, therapists, staff members, and other professionals or significant others.
  • Handle emergency situations effectively while following established procedures.
  • Participate in the organizations Quality Improvement process.
  • Provide feedback to the management team when there are concerns about policies and procedures potentially re-traumatizing clients.
  • Uphold principles of the trauma informed principles of Roundup Fellowship.
  • Recognize the impact of vicarious trauma on the workforce and continually assess in supervision signs and symptoms of vicarious trauma as well as self-care plans.
  • Communicates with management on behalf of the Program Director.
  • Acts as a proxy for the Program Director as needed in their absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

equired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three years’ experience in human services, one of which has to be in a supervisory position OR A master’s degree and two years' experience in human services, one of which must be in a supervisory position.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles with cliental.
  • Satisfactory FBI, CBI and CAPS record check.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.
  • Requires scheduling flexibility, including on-call.
  • Certification in crisis management-Safety Care (Roundup will provide this training if not currently certified upon hire)

 

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Requires sufficient range of physical strength, endurance, and mobility to assist in household activities and behavioral interventions.
  • Must be able to lift, push pull to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements.
  • Must be able to successfully completion of the core Safety Care (Crisis Intervention Training) training and maintain certification.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements. 
  • Requires adequate range of hearing and vision to properly supervise residents.
  • Requires mental flexibility, emotional stability, personal maturity, and creativity in dealing with difficult situations.

  • At least bachelor's degree or higher
