DESCRIPTION OF WORK

We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate verbally and in writing because in this position, you will provide employment and application information to job candidates, and discuss personnel issues or policies with current employees. We work in a team environment, but you will work with considerable independence while processing personnel actions for all new and existing employees. As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will seek approvals for new hires, work with new hires to complete onboarding forms, and schedule new hire orientations. We offer training opportunities to develop your understanding of policies, laws, and regulations surrounding our hiring processes and you will be required to attend meetings with senior staff to keep them updated on all hire actions for the agency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
