DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Within this internship opportunity, you will enhance and apply your knowledge of workforce development programs, services, policies, regulations, legislation, and procedures. You will experience social services and case management firsthand through a variety of duties within the Clearfield County Pennsylvania CareerLink Office. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be helping customers by assisting in the intake process to provide referrals to the appropriate resources, working with the Career Resource Center, and providing workshop support. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic towards building effective working relationships with internal and external customers and partners and who are eager to learn applicable workforce development laws and policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in college full-time (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits, or 9 or more graduate credits).
  • Enrolled full-time for the upcoming fall semester by the start of the internship in an applicable major.
  • Be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • Completed your first year in a two-year associate degree program or a four-year bachelor's degree program.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
