Sampson-Bladen Oil Company is looking to hire a motivated individual as a Deli District Manager. This position focuses on the operation of the company-operated Food Service Deli's under our Han-Dee Hugo's brand. This is a full time position with excellent pay and benefits. Supervisory Responsibilities
Financial Accountability
· Accountable for sales and profitability growth of the Prepared Foods Category.
· Responsible for analyzing sales, margins, inventory levels and purchasing trends to maximize profitability for the category.
· Responsible for analyzing labor cost and all controllable expenses
· Responsible for identifying opportunity stores and developing action plan to improve performance
· Develop new programs to ensure sales growth
· New product, current product enhancements and package development
· Develop promotional programs and track results of all assigned category related promotional efforts.
· Responsible for developing reports for evaluating the profitability of assigned category
Food Program Assessment
· Work regularly with stores to ensure that food programs are being executed correctly
· Provide feedback on store specific programs and products based on data gathered in the field
· Offer recommendations on specific menu items based on findings during implementation
· Determine if stores are following proper guidelines in regards to purchasing, par levels, inventory, temperature control and other guideline based procedures on the day to day operation
· Monitor all equipment for proper cleaning and repair during in store visits
Training
· Training of all new hires in the food service category
· Follow up training on any and all employees or stores not properly executing food service programs
· Inventory Training for any and all stores not consistently submitting inventory counts in targeted range
· Spend adequate time in each new and remodeled location for training of foodservice personal on the overall program, ordering, inventory, par levels and food safety standards
· Train MITs and Assistant managers on all aspects of foodservice
Product Implementation
· Using recipes provided by director, work with all locations on implementing new and promotional products
· Make sure each location is executing new products to meet quality standards based on store specific equipment
· Spend time at each location during implementation for sampling and customer feedback. Provide director with any and all feedback
· Make sure all promotional signage is in place and offer feedback on its effectiveness
· Conduct in store testing of new products and packaging
Requirements
- Experience in the quick service restaurant industry
- Expertise in ordering, inventory management, labor management and scheduling
