Position Summary:

The Accountant II is a key member of the Regal Rexnord Automation Solutions ('ASBU') accounting and finance team. This role will be responsible for various accounting and finance activities in the period-end financial close process as well as managing intercompany account balances, invoicing intercompany billings, assisting with third-party invoice progress billings, and preparing various plant level management reporting. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing sales and use tax on a transactional basis.

This position reports to the Divisional Controller of ASBU and works closely with other members of the accounting and finance department to ensure all accounting and finance objectives and deadlines are met.

Major Responsibilities:

* Prepare manual journal entries for payroll and benefits, accounts payable, fixed assets, freight, daily cash, and others as required. Apply critical thinking to ensure manual journal entries are prepared accurately and are appropriately supported and documented in accordance with Regal Rexnord Finance policies.

* Responsible for managing all transactional sales and use taxes.

* Manage intercompany account reconciliations and prepare intercompany billings.

* Summarize direct and indirect manufacturing labor hours and calculate utilization rates. Perform analysis of utilization rates in relation to absorption and make recommendations as necessary to plant management considering current utilization rates.

* Create project folders and maintain documentation of Engineering Release Notices (ERN's), Engineering Change Orders, and customer correspondence related to ship date changes, etc., for current projects.

* Prepare third-party invoice progress billings for certain product lines including palletizer and depalletizer equipment and service projects.

* Run costing utilities within the company's ERP system (Visual) on a daily basis.

* Run month end procedures in the company's ERP system (Visual) for the A&B Engineering business unit.

* Create and track Capital Expenditure Requests (CAR's), and record fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation as necessary.

* Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for payroll and benefits, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash, and others, in accordance with Regal Rexnord Finance policies.

* Participate in RBS and audits. Support where needed.

* Assist Divisional Controller with all aspects of auditing, recounts, and tag control on the floor during the annual physical inventory.

* Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, continuous improvement and performance in accordance with Regal Rexnord values in an effort to help drive annual operating and development goals.

* Maintain documentation of relevant SOX controls, including manual journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, annual physical inventory count, and others as necessary.

* Performs other accounting and finance tasks as requested.

Education and Experience

* Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum two (2) years accounting experience required.

* Experience working with ERP systems (Visual, SAP or Oracle), and Consolidation Systems (HFM or OneStream) preferred.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

* Strong problem solving, analytical abilities and attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects.

* Ability to exhibit Regal Rexnord core values and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.

* Travel requirements are limited; 5% or less.
