About this job
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for coordinating and catering to special events and functions. The Food & Beverage Manager will create and prepare banquet event orders detailing guest expectations - menu selections, the time each course will be served and number of guests who will be in attendance and dietary needs. The Food & Beverage Manager uses this information, advise kitchen and banquet labor needs, arrange and coordinate equipment requirements that may be necessary to fulfill request.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively develop and train Food & Beverage team members with consistent communication praise and follow up as necessary.
- Organizational skills
- High level of commitment to customer service
- Knowledge of scheduling, Microsoft word, Excel, POS and Squirrel Systems considered an asset; Ability to plan menus, create specials, and order supplied
- Be responsible and accountable for handling cash
- Responsible for inventory
- Control inventory, resolve customer complaints, ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Maintain budgetary guidelines in all aspects of food and beverage
- Closely work with other team members
- Ability to professionally resolve conflicts and concerns
- Adhere to all MLCC and LGA regulations
Job Description

Requirements
- Experience as Food & Beverage for a minimum of five years.
- Post-Secondary education is an asset.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Must be available to work variety of shifts.
