Job Description

The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for outsourcing and overseeing projects related to building and grounds maintenance. Building maintenance and replacement work includes new roofs, siding, exterior painting, window repairs (sealing), elevator repairs, HVAC, etc. Ground maintenance includes snow removal, landscaping, parking lot re-pavement, etc. The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for drafting work scope proposals, soliciting bids, negotiating and awarding contracts and performing oversight at the job site. The responsibilities include all work related to upkeep, maintenance and replacement projects of buildings and grounds at company managed sites. The Facilities Project Manager reports to the Buildings & Grounds Manager.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Prioritize projects per company needs and at the direction of the Buildings & Grounds Manager

· Multi-task, work on 15-20 projects on a continual basis

· Use company vendor relationships and develop new relationships to expand the company’s list of vendors

· Understand the unique requirements of each project and develop full work scope

o Draft Request for Proposal (RFP)

o Send RFP to select vendors and ensure that all bids meet the RFP

· Upon award of contract, perform regular (sometimes daily) oversight on vendor performance

· Continual Improvement

o Make recommendations and assist in developing best practices

o Collaborate as a key team-player with staff to improve brand

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

· College graduate preferred

· Very good knowledge and experience in building construction and building maintenance

· Good negotiation skills

· Good writing skills and very good experience with WORD and EXCEL

· Ability to learn and work well with ERP software

· Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor

· Team player with drive for high customer satisfaction, high integrity and commitment to company brand and vision

· Full time position

o M - F, 9 AM – 5 PM

o 40 hours per week

o Remote work not allowed, clock in/out at office daily
