Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Parts Department Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Ziems Ford Corners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shipping and Receiving: Receive incoming shipments of automotive parts and accessories, verify contents against packing slips or invoices, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in item selection, proper packaging, and timely dispatch.

2. Inventory Management: Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage areas, including shelving and bins, to facilitate easy access and accurate tracking of parts. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure stock accuracy.

3. Order Fulfillment: Process orders from internal departments, service technicians, and external customers promptly and accurately. Retrieve requested items from inventory, package for shipment or pickup, and coordinate delivery schedules as needed.

4. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing slips, invoices, and shipping manifests. Enter relevant data into computerized inventory management systems and assist with maintaining up-to-date electronic records.

5. Communication and Coordination: Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Parts Department, Service Department, and other dealership departments to fulfill orders, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of parts and accessories. Communicate proactively with suppliers and freight carriers to track shipments and address any delays or discrepancies.

6. Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional customer service to internal and external customers, assisting with inquiries, order status updates, and resolving any issues or concerns related to shipping, receiving, or parts availability.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in automotive parts management or logistics is a plus.
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in an automotive or dealership environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory management tasks.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and basic office software applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.
