Summary:
As a Specialist in tax Reporting and compliance supporting the corporate headquarters of a global, Fortune 100 Aerospace and Defense contractor, you will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to a broad array of projects in a dynamic, team-oriented tax group. You will grow in depth and breadth as a tax practitioner as you contribute to tax compliance, provision, and planning projects that impact our 10 business units.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering reports and schedules in support of quarterly and annual tax provision processes.
- Liaise with financial reporting and attest firm.
- Forge effective relationships with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and other (non-Tax) internal departments to respond to changing financial reporting and tax compliance requirements worldwide and to ensure proper reporting of tax effects of business decisions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to provision and return processes.
- Assist with the preparation of federal income tax returns, including supporting work papers.
- Support federal, state, and international cash tax payment processes.
- Assist Director-Tax Controller where needed on special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Tax, or Finance required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of tax experience in an accounting firm or industry
- CPA preferred.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with ASC 740 and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Willingness and ability to take ownership of workstreams within the tax provision process.
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to function independently and wear many hats in a fast-paced, collaborative tax department supporting Fortune 100 multinationals.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure our company meets tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated aptitude for technology and process improvements.
- Familiarity with Tax/Accounting/Research software packages: Corptax Tax & Provision Systems (a plus), OneStream, Thomson Reuters RIA Checkpoint and Bloomberg BNA Tax
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
- Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date, unless medical or religious exceptions apply.
