Parker Plastics, Inc (PPI) is a custom manufacturer of plastic bottles and containers. Most famous for the "honey bear" bottle, we produce packaging for food, beverage, home, and personal care, industrial, pharmaceutical, and various other end markets.

  • Responsible for screening and documenting entrance/exit of visitors
  • Responsible for maintaining applications, ensures all paper applications are completed
  • Schedules interviews and assists with interview process when necessary (primarily for Spanish speaking candidates)
  • Responsible for new hire orientation
  • Coordinates with supervisors and management to assign new hire training schedules/mentors
  • Following up with new hires and conducting new hire surveys
  • Acts as mentor for new employees and them get acclimated to their new position
  • Must participate in cross-training and willing to act as back-up when necessary (i.e. assisting with quality administrative work, customer service functions, invoicing, supervising etc.)
  • Employee training data entry, filing and tracking
  • Maintains training files & documentation
  • Develops current training program
  • Identifies areas of improvement for the team, suggests and schedules training when necessary
  • Assists with Cross-Training Matrix and coordinates training with department heads
  • Assists with our MD Apprenticeship program, ensures files are maintained as required by the state
  • Acts as Safety Team member and assists with ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Responsible for presenting information during our monthly Town Hall meeting to our Spanish speaking team members
  • Actively and effectively communicates with all members of the team regarding training, policy and events happening at the plant
  • Acts as liaison between employees to the HR team and management
Experience – 1 year administrative/office experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. HR experience is a plus. Ideal candidate has or is working toward a degree and willing to participate in additional trainings.

Required skills: bilingual in Spanish language is a must, willingness, and eagerness to learn, responsible individual who can operate as a team or solo, excellent communication skills, Microsoft experience, positive attitude, ability to keep confidentiality.
