Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is looking for a Clinical Supervisor/Therapist in our Gaithersburg, MD office. This position is responsible for supervising and supporting all (LMSW and LGPC) Therapists and Interns.  This position would also maintain a caseload, providing psychotherapy to children and families referred to the program for outpatient behavioral health services.  

ABH is a family centered mental health program that offers a wraparound approach to treatment. We specialize in Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling Services, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring. Essential Functions:

  • Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPPA/State compliance regulations.
  • Ensure staff compliance with EMR and uphold the 48-hour documentation standard.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all ABH mandated training.
  • Provide weekly supervision to Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Professional --Counselors (LGPC), and Interns (3 individual per month, 1 group per month for LG/LMs, and weekly individual and 1 group per month for interns)
  • Ongoing communication and collaboration about timely documentation and follow up on monthly audits ensuring timely corrections and tracking requests to reopen notes.
  • Sign all staff documentation weekly and prior to end of billing cycle.
  • Coach and mentor assigned staff to ensure ongoing compliance, sufficient caseload, time management, and organization.
  • Interview, hire, orient, and train new interns.
  • Serve as a field instructor for all assigned interns.
  • Comply with all field instructor guidelines imposed by the universities.
  • Facilitate ongoing clinical collaboration with Clinical Coordinators, GMAY Directors, and Prescribers to ensure continuum of care for mutual clients.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator continually to assign Interns with appropriate Therapists (LMSW & LGPC) to attend scheduled appointments with clients.
  • Review and sign all treatment planning documents and evaluations and provide feedback regarding content, COMAR/CARF and ABH requirements, and diagnostics.
  • Attend monthly clinical team meetings to include ongoing meetings with Clinical Coordinator to discuss Interns and cases.
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with Clinical Coordinator to complete 90 day and yearly staff performance appraisals.
  • This position will also carry a caseload, providing psychotherapy to children and families referred to the program for outpatient behavioral health services.  
  • Respond to communication (phone, email, text) from clients and families, referral sources, and ABH staff within 24 hours or the next business day.

Non-essential Functions:

  • Facilitate clinical staffing, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related discipline.
  • Licensed in the state of Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor.
  • Excellent working knowledge of COMAR.
  • Knowledge of clinic territory.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to manage, delegate and manage multiple tasks with completing deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and people skills are essential.
  • Ability to be proactive and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
