Tellers are the face of the Credit Union. Tellers welcome our members and provide exceptional service to members while assisting them with their financial transactions.

Job Description:

  • Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
  • Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services; direct members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Educate and advise members regarding credit union products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with a cooperative, positive attitude.
  • Proven skill in attention to detail to ensure information is accurate and complete.

Required Education:

  • To be eligible for the 2024-2025 High School Youth Apprentice program with Educators Credit Union, you must be a Junior or Senior in High School during the 2024-2025 school year AND enrolled in a High School Youth Apprentice program with early release. You will be required to identify your High School and High School Youth Apprentice adviser information during the application process.
  • In addition to working with our members, the High School Youth Apprentice needs to meet all expectations and requirements for the High School Youth Apprentice program and complete the Educators' High School Youth Apprentice program before the scheduled due dates.
