Position Title: Volumetric Truck Driver-Operator (QE Concrete)
Location: Naples, FL

Salary Interval: Hourly

QE Concrete is looking for a Volumetric Truck Driver/Operator to join our team. The Volumetric Truck Driver/Operator is responsible for driving and operating a volumetric concrete truck used for delivering, mixing, and pouring concrete. The operator is also responsible for assisting with loading aggregates and filling the water tank prior to leaving the concrete yard and daily routine truck maintenance.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Florida CDL Class B license required.
  • Concrete truck operator experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives and operates volumetric concrete truck for mixing and delivering concrete according to mix designs and customer needs.
  • Ensures that aggregates are properly loaded, water tank is filled, and cement from the storage silo is loaded in the cement truck bin.
  • Completes daily preventative maintenance of the truck including cleaning and greasing of the auger.
  • Washes concrete truck daily and performs a deep clean of the truck weekly.
  • Prints, logs, and organizes batch tickets for each load of concrete delivered.
  • Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
  • Stays in contact with the dispatcher via phone or radio to receive delivery instructions.
  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck.
  • Loads/unloads cargo and materials.
  • Properly prepares and submits daily reports.
  • Reports all issues to dispatcher in a timely manner including traffic delays, equipment malfunctions, or problems with raw materials.
  • Inspects the truck before leaving the yard.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Disposition:

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Highly productive and organized with thorough attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently, both collaboratively and independently; self-motivated
  • Effectively communicates with dispatcher, other drivers, loader operator, and customers; this may include using a personal smartphone to enroll in company group chat for information and instructions, calls, texts, taking pictures and taking videos related to daily activities and other business-related tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, or stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
