Job Description
Position Purpose
Develop and execute capital engineering projects, either on own or in collaboration with Process Engineering team and ensure successful transfer of plant automation from engineering commissioning to operational ownership. Ensure strong technical systems processes and programs are established to ensure ongoing excellence without deterioration.
Lead network continuous improvement efforts to meet and sustain global standards for operational performance and equipment reliability. Improve technical skills and competencies across the network to develop world class in-house maintenance programs.
Support customers that need assistance in determining equipment needed to onboard to the CCPS program.
Travel up to 50% based throughout U.S. and Canada based on business needs.
Major/Key Accountabilities
Manage (or support Process Engineering) the development and execution of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects.
Lead pre-installation site assessments and technical skills assessment at sites prior to equipment installation.
Ensure automation projects meet initial production ramp schedules and achieve budgeted performance objectives.
Lead equipment Qualification and Verification to ensure smooth transition from Engineering installation to Operational ownership.
Provide technical leadership for process optimization in controls, networking, electrical and mechanical standards.
Support deployment of preventive & predictive maintenance and spare parts systems.
Lead programs to monitor and improve Process Reliability (PPH, MTBF and MTTR) on equipment across the network.
Support and develop in-house maintenance teams, personnel and programs to improve equipment reliability.
Support and influence 3rd party management group maintenance teams and programs.
Support in-house plant managers’ efforts to improve understanding of Process Reliability, Cost/Cgen and utilization of new technologies.
Provide feedback to engineering and equipment suppliers on continuous improvement learnings (through the ECR process) for future equipment and technologies.
Collaborate with customers on improvements to customer-owned systems that will allow the use of CCPS products.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
BS in technical discipline
Desirable Qualifications:
BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience
5 years in an automation environment with proven skills in PLC and controls equipment.
Plant floor leadership
Extensive experience of working in a health and safety conscious environment
3 years’ experience implementing Lean/6 Sigma methodologies in manufacturing environment
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent interpersonal skills
Familiar with basic industrial electrical wiring, process piping, and machine guarding principles
Allen-Bradley ControlLogix control systems
Team / Personnel management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, and project management tools
Basic financial management skills with a focus on capital expenditure justification (ROI, IRR, NPV)
Languages
