EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Support team members’ understanding of proper company procedures, laws and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standards
- Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
- Close out actions from monthly safety audits
- Coach team members on opportunities for improvement and technical knowledge, provide direction on day to day tasks, assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution, escalate personnel issues to Fleet Manager to address
- Coordinate broken down equipment repair schedule and allocate resources, schedule for maximum resource utilization and minimum downtime
- Organize preventative maintenance and work order schedules, follow up on inspection results
- Develop vendor network and relationships for strategic sourcing solutions of machine and equipment parts, vet/recommend new supplier options, manage parts inventory and budget
- Other duties as assigned
PAY RATE: $32 and up with Experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The primary areas of responsibility include:
- Fleet Maintenance
- Shop Safety
- Daily Supervision
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good working knowledge of mechanics as related to truck and general maintenance
- Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper mechanic/maintenance procedures such as lockout/tag outs and special work permits
- Must be proficient with computer and program systems
- Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4 and ESA software a plus
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to pass MVR (clean driving record)
- Commercial Driver’s License a plus
- Provide own personal tools up to ¾
- Ability to lead others in a fast, paced team environment
- Ability to resolve conflicts and build trust/communication
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma preferred
- 5+years of Truck Mechanic experience required
- Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate haul trucks preferred
- Must be able to diagnose engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmissions, suspensions, and brakes
- Experience supervising others
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
- 50% locally

- Employee primarily works out of an office environment but is mobile between plant locations, construction job sites, etc.
