POSITION SUMMARY

The Cloud Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions using AWS, with a strong emphasis on database technologies including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and modern front-end frameworks such as React and Angular. You will be responsible for leading the development of our cloud architecture, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our database systems in the cloud environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS, focusing on high availability, fault tolerance, and auto-scaling.

Develop and optimize database solutions with PostgreSQL and Oracle, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and backup processes.

Architect and develop front-end interfaces and applications using React or Angular, integrating seamlessly with backend databases.

Conduct technical evaluations and assessments to select appropriate cloud technologies, services, and platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable cloud solutions.

Lead migration projects from on-premises systems to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Implement security best practices and compliance measures within cloud and database architectures.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Ability to obtain Public Trust

Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, with extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture.

Strong background in database technologies, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, including database design, optimization, and administration.

Experience with front-end development frameworks, preferably React or Angular.

Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and IAM policies.

Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and work effectively with teams across the organization.

Graduate degree preferred but not required

(PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS)

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods using a phone or other forms of business communication

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
