Prep Cook for Dock 17

Dock 17 is a bustling eatery located in the heart of Clarksville, TN, known for its fresh, inventive dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for growth and development within our culinary team, with the potential to transition into a full-time role. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of culinary delights; tasks include peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Ensure food and supply inventories are stocked and properly stored.
• Follow kitchen safety protocols and guidelines.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing supplies.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to contribute to menu development and execution.
• Actively participate in training and workshops to hone your skills and techniques.

Requirements:

• No formal education is required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• A genuine interest in culinary arts and a desire to pursue a career in the food service industry.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English
• Availability to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak hours.
