PROJECT INSTALLATION FOREMAN

Position Overview

This vital role works on all aspects (installation and job site management) of Amano McGann’s parking and access control systems. Must be proficient in all aspects of all Amano Product Lines including lane equipment, pay in lane, pay on foot and software with a focus on installation and job site management.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the installation of all assigned projects and coordinating those installations with Project Implementation Manager and Project Management Team.
  • Responsible for overseeing Project Installation Technicians and installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading computer hardware, software, networks and peripheral equipment.
  • Interface with customer to show strong organizational practices.
    1. Report to the site when scheduled
    2. Timely notification of problems or delays
    3. Communicate to the client while on the job site
  • Guide clients to the service line instead of accepting calls directly
  • Effective communication that creates a collaborative environment with all parties that the Project Team interacts with clients, subcontractors, branches, support, and associated corporate team personnel
  • Research and gain working knowledge via hands on, Confluence and Talent LMS on new hardware, devices and tools to provide better system solutions and installation & trouble shooting efficiency
  • Follow and enforce all OSHA safety practices
  • Ensure work area is maintained and well organized
  • Complete a service ticket or project ticket as needed
  • Report to work in uniform which consists of an Amano shirt/coat, blue work pants.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.


Accountabilities and Performance Measures

  • “Team” oriented open communication and involvement with all branch and corporate staff
  • Tackle all installation assignments with an end goal to complete the work order as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality
  • Work directly with the Project Implementation Manager, Director – Field Team Process & Projects and Operations Manager or Branch Manager to maintain adequate service to Amano’s clients with a minimum of overtime
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

Work Environment

  • Ability to work at customer locations both indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations (flight, car, train)

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to the Project Implementation Manager
  • Works closely and collaboratively with Project Management Team at the local or national level
