About the Role


NRMCA's Manager of Safety, Environmental and Operations (SEO) Programs will have responsibility for helping the EVP of Compliance and Operations to devise and lead NRMCA's policy and response on compliance and regulatory issues impacting the industry. In addition to supporting and conducting industry SEO educational offerings, recognition programs, benchmarking surveys, SEO Committee actions and affiliated bureau management.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support department EVP in monitoring and advocacy efforts on key regulatory issues of importance to the industry before Federal Executive Branch agencies such as, but not limited to, Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Assist updating and communicating with the industry on compliance with safety, labor, operations, transportation and environmental regulations.
  • Help conduct and support educational training for the NRMCA membership, including various workshops, webinars, Plant Manager Courses, Safety Courses, Dispatcher Courses, and Environmental Courses.
  • Help conduct and support NRMCA recognition programs including the Safety Contest, Environmental Excellence Awards, Driver of the Year, Carpenter Award and Green-Star Certifications.
  • Support NRMCA industry benchmarking efforts with the Fleet Benchmarking and Safety Benchmarking Surveys.
  • Support the planning, execution, and enhancement of the annual National Mixer Driver Championship.
  • Aid in managing the Volumetric Mixer Manufacturers Bureau, Concrete Plant Manufacturers Bureau and Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau.
  • Advise, update, communicate and work with the SEO Committee to present overviews and updates on committee issues. As well as help plan, execute and support SEO Committee meetings, conference calls and other events.
  • Support maintaining, updating and creating new SEO publications and educational offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy, political science, concrete industry management, or related field.
  • Experience or other related certifications in lieu of educational requirements will be considered.
  • At least 5+ years' experience in either ready mixed concrete, safety, environmental, operations, transportation or related fields.
  • Concrete, safety, transportation and/or operations industry knowledge preferred.
  • National trade association experience or familiarity preferred.
