HGS is seeking a READINESS and TRAINING SUPPORT COORDINATOR. This position is located at CTF-75, onboard Naval Station, Guam.


Job Summary: The CTF-75 READINESS and TRAINING SUPPORT COORDINATOR supports CTF-75 the Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific; providing readiness and training services through coordinating, scheduling, and recording individual and unit level training. The READINESS and TRAINING SUPPORT COORDINATOR provides support services on readiness capability through the management of multiple authoritative applications which includes Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), Advanced Skills Maintenance (ASM), Readiness and Cost Reporting Program (RCRP), and the Defense Readiness Reporting System- Navy (DRRS-N). The READINESS and TRAINING SUPPORT COORDINATOR maintains the CTF-75 short and long-range training plans to include all training events contained in the Fleet Readiness Training Plan (FRTP) and the Unit Level Training Readiness Assessment (ULTRA).


Duties:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and record individual and unit level training
  • Notify applicable individuals of training requirements and associated due date
  • Notify individuals and their Supervisor of the individuals delinquent training
  • Prepare a monthly progress report detailing status of training services completed, working, areas in concern, areas requiring assistance, all travel details, and any additional information needed by the Government to ensure Government awareness of all CTF-75 training services
  • Provide readiness application summaries for FLTMPS and ASM
  • Provide readiness summaries for RCRP and DRRS-N
  • Provide updates of all short range (0-3 months) and long range (3-12 months) training requirements for CTF-75
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to input, manage and process data within complex web-based systems, to include FLTMPS, ASM, RCRP, and DRRS-N
  • Knowledge of required military training relative to individuals within the command, and unit readiness. At least 2 years of experience working with training and readiness programs and databases such as FLTMPS, ASM, RCRP, and DRRS-N
  • Must have organizational skills, be detail orientated and be able to multi-task
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve in an environment where root causes may be complex

Security Clearance: This position requires a Secret Clearance (interim clearance may be acceptable at the discretion of the government if the background investigation is in progress at the start of service).


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Military staff experience
  • Military experience in the Asia-Pacific area of operations

Additional Requirements:

  • Shall not have been convicted of a felony
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Shall be able to operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. so as to efficiently create documents and briefs

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day
  • Must be willing to work over time if necessary
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
