Pool Concessions Server
Department: Parks and Recreation
Reports To: Food Service Manager, Food Service Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: This position primarily works indoors with potential for campus non-alcoholic food / beverage cart operation.
Summary
Providing quality food service experience for patrons at the swimming pools and/or Overlook Community Campus, while keeping a clean facility and following safety rules and regulations. To conduct yourself as a professional at all times towards patrons and superiors.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing a quality food service experience to all guests.
- Proper handling of food and cooking equipment.
- Moderate to light cooking by meeting quality and safety standards.
- Using proper cleaning procedures for kitchen tools, prep surfaces, and equipment.
- Follow the Township's policies, rules, and regulations of employment.
- Ensure dependability by arriving on time for your scheduled shift.
- Potential to drive non-alcoholic food and beverage cart within the Overlook Community Campus. (16 years of age or older)
- Inputting orders in our POS and handling financial transactions.
- Communicate with Manager on duty regarding customer needs and inventory assessments.
- Assist with preparations for birthday parties.
- Preferred availability for duration of summer. (Labor Day is the last day open for Pool)
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
- Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to talk, hear, and see.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of basic math, addition, subtraction, etc.
- Knowledge of government food handling and sanitation regulations including National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of department policy, procedures, and work rules.
Skills
- Ability to perform moderate cooking.
Abilities
- Ability to provide quality customer service consistently.

Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- ServSafe Certified
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 14 years of age. 16 years of age to operate non-alcoholic food/bev. cart
- Must be able to work the schedule as described.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation
