Work Environment: This position primarily works indoors with potential for campus non-alcoholic food / beverage cart operation.

Summary

Providing quality food service experience for patrons at the swimming pools and/or Overlook Community Campus, while keeping a clean facility and following safety rules and regulations. To conduct yourself as a professional at all times towards patrons and superiors.

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing a quality food service experience to all guests.
2. Proper handling of food and cooking equipment.
3. Moderate to light cooking by meeting quality and safety standards.
4. Using proper cleaning procedures for kitchen tools, prep surfaces, and equipment.
5. Follow the Township's policies, rules, and regulations of employment.
6. Ensure dependability by arriving on time for your scheduled shift.
7. Potential to drive non-alcoholic food and beverage cart within the Overlook Community Campus. (16 years of age or older)
8. Inputting orders in our POS and handling financial transactions.
9. Communicate with Manager on duty regarding customer needs and inventory assessments.
10. Assist with preparations for birthday parties.
11. Preferred availability for duration of summer. (Labor Day is the last day open for Pool)

Physical Requirements

1. Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
2. Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
3. Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
4. Ability to talk, hear, and see.
5. Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.

Competencies

1. Thorough knowledge of basic math, addition, subtraction, etc.
2. Knowledge of government food handling and sanitation regulations including National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification
3. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for equipment and tools.
4. Knowledge of department policy, procedures, and work rules.

Skills

1. Ability to perform moderate cooking.

Abilities

1. Ability to provide quality customer service consistently.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED
2. ServSafe Certified

Additional Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be at least 14 years of age. 16 years of age to operate non-alcoholic food/bev. cart
2. Must be able to work the schedule as described.
3. Must be able to work independently.
4. Must have reliable transportation
