Gunnison is looking for a Monitoring Tools Engineer to support our Intel Community customer.

Location: On-site, Chantilly, VA

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Monitoring Tools Engineer is responsible for the implementation and configuration of advanced system and application monitors, framework installation and configuration, tool integration, tool customization, and migration in a containerized environment. Typical duties include:

  • Installs & Configures Monitoring and Event Management Tools
  • Builds and Manages TQLs
  • Troubleshoot gateway communication issues
  • Create script, process, and URL monitors
  • Responsible for Integration with Various 3rd party tools
  • Reconciles Data Inconsistences
  • Ensure Availability of Monitoring Solution

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience supporting Network, Application Monitoring and management projects.
  • Proficient in both Perl, Java, or VB Scripting
  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems
  • Requires effective verbal and written communications skills to consult with management, business partners and vendors.

Desired Experience:

  • 3 years' specific product experience with BMC TrueSight Operations Manager or BMC Helix Operations Management

Certification(s):

  • BMC TrueSight Associated Certification in at least TrueSight Operation Management or BMC Helix Operations Management.
  • Nice to have: BMC TrueSight Professional Certification in at least TrueSight Operation Management or BMC Helix Operations Management.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and demonstrated mastery of multiple event management and monitoring tool technologies or 6 years' experience and BMC Associate Certification without degree.

Clearance Requirement: Active DOD TS/SCI clearance required.
