Event Sales Specialist
Hybrid WFH in Fairfax, VA 22030 | Currently – 2 days in office – 3 days remote

Summary
This entry level/early career opportunity entails supporting the exposition sales team and collaborating with past customers and warm leads to build relationships, sell exhibit space and sponsorships, for tradeshows and association events. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple events in various stages. Have excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Some travel will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage in/track a minimum number of outbound activities (phone and email) each day to past customers and warm leads.
- Respond to all inbound sales inquiries.
- Sell exhibit space and sponsorships by telephone, email communications, etc.
- Conduct research and make outbound contacts to build the prospect database and generate and nurture new sales leads.
- In collaboration with the team leaders, effectively collaborate with clients.
- Update/Clean databases.
- Support other sales/marketing activities.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competing shows by reading articles in leading publications and websites and conducting research online.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications (computer & communication skills, training, certification, etc.):
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); ability to think quickly and to have a clear and concise phone conversation.
- Desire to learn and implement feedback quickly.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- A confident and strong passion for sales and driving revenue growth.
- Self- motivated, driven, and possesses a desire to achieve success.
Education and/or Experience:
- A college degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred.
- 1-3 years of sales or direct experience preferred.
- Experience with Sales Force preferred.
Travel Required: 10%
