Position Purpose and Objectives

The Packaging Line Worker will work on a variety of manual, semi-automated and automated packaging lines. Working with diligent attention to the details of each job specification, in a safe and efficient manner provides Celmark’s customers with the most consistent and highest quality product.

Essential Job Functions
- Package products at high speeds as directed by Supervisor and/or Line Lead
- Inspect in process and finished product based on company standards to ensure product is free from defect.
- Understand packaging line speed to ensure assigned task is being performed at optimal output for line efficiency.
- Follow company policies, cGMP, SOP and safety guidelines while working on the packaging lines.
- Operate poly pack, induction seal, sleevers and any other machinery used during a packaging run effectively and efficiently.
- Accurately complete required packaging paperwork specific to your assignment
- Palletize finish goods in a safe and efficient manner.
- Be responsible for designated work area and the overall cleanliness of the facility.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Mechanically inclined with the willingness to learn new machinery as needed.
- Ability to perform tasks at a high speed effectively and efficiently.
- Experience with cGMP procedures and knowledge of safety, OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculation.
- Able to participate in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous process improvement.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends before and after scheduled shift as needed.
- Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure situations.
- Self-motivated with an internal drive to succeed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be flexible to work nights and/or weekends when required.
- Background in quality systems and food and beverage manufacture.

Supervisory Responsibility
- None.

Working Conditions
- Clean room facility, both climate and non-climate controlled environments.
- Bending, stooping and standing for entire day.
- Working with hands all day with little to no rest.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment required.
