(V&EG) is a leading services supplier who provides solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food, and Medical Devices industries in the following areas: Laboratory, Compliance, Computer, Engineering, Project Management, Validation, and other services.

We are seeking a talented, dedicated individual committed to work under the highest ethics standards for the following position:

  • Sr. EH&S Specialist

Responsibilities:

  1. Provides technical and regulatory guidance on environmental programs, focusing on recognizing, evaluating, and controlling environmental hazards.
  2. Advices management on the proper procedures, work practices, equipment to use in order to ensure compliance with all legal requirement and regulations in these fields.
  3. Implements EHS self-assessment programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable local, federal regulations and company directives.
  4. Reviews capital renovations and new construction projects to ensure environmental requirements are addressed.
  5. Administers Environmental programs for the site which include the following duties:
  6. Delivers environmental training programs.
  7. Leads Environmental Permits and Reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Reports to management any new requirement, deviation to permits and potential regulatory changes.
  8. Maintains environmental records, manages environmental sampling, reports monitoring results, and recommends control measures to management.
  9. Oversight the operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and Water Recycling System to facilitates regulatory compliance and reporting to agencies.
  10. Classifies, handles and disposes of hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, medical wastes in compliance with all company standards and regulatory agencies.
  11. Maintains statistics, develops reports and files official reports with regulatory agencies.
  12. Administers the incident investigations program to determine rood cause and develop action plan to avoid recurrence and follows-up to ensure improvements are made.
  13. Keeps abreast of current technologies and regulatory trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related EH&S field).
  • Five (5) years of experience leading Environmental areas in the Pharmaceutical, or Chemical industry.
  • Fully cognizant of applicable Federal and Commonwealth rules and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure of time and capable of working with minimal direct supervision.
  • Computer knowledge (MS Office)
  • Completely bilingual (Spanish and English).
