Head Varsity Volleyball Coach Position:

St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia is looking for a highly-qualified head varsity volleyball coach to lead the program. St. Stephen's and St. Agnes competes in the ISL (Independent School League) and the VISAA (Virginia Independent School Athletic Association). We are seeking a coach who will not only focus on the competitive aspect of the sport, but also positively impact the lives of our student-athletes. The new coach will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Saints volleyball program. We value leadership, sportsmanship and goodness, which lie at the core of the athletic program, and larger school community, at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School. Candidates must have previous successful club, high school or college coaching experience. The head coach must be organized, hard-working and demonstrate a strong desire to build a program at all levels emphasizing player development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Instill a commitment to academic excellence among student-athletes and emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship, integrity, and teamwork;
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture;
  • Experience in the development and implementation of practices that emphasize skill development and game strategy;
  • Assist with game scheduling in consultation with the Athletic Department;
  • Collaborate with the Athletic department in developing off-season training programs, as well as recruiting and retention strategies;

Qualifications:
