Yonder Behavioral Health is a leading mental health facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals seeking behavioral health services. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as the Director of Nursing.
Position Summary: As the Director of Nursing at Yonder Behavioral Health, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care within our organization. You will lead a team of dedicated nursing professionals and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, possess excellent leadership skills, and be committed to promoting a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing department, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies and maintain accreditation standards.
- Foster a culture of excellence in nursing practice by promoting professional growth and development opportunities for staff.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching when necessary.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation process of nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health nursing, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, practices, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to nursing practice.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
