We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) in our Osage Beach Clinic!


COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden, Morgan and Miller counties for over 40 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, affordable healthcare to the communities we serve. COMC is looking for a mission-driven team member who is comfortable working with patients with diverse backgrounds. Applicant must be a motivated, self-starter able to quickly adapt to new and changing conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:
 Consistent with COMC’s goals and objectives as defined by the CEO and Board of Directors. Provide comprehensive dental health care to all patients within the limitations of the Clinic’s space, equipment, and support personnel.

 

Described Duties:

  1. Work cooperatively with COMC providers, leadership, peers, and subordinates to carry out the goals and objectives of the health center according to governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures.
  2. Will treat others respectfully and adhere to COMC values, whether it is a patient, fellow employee, member of management, customer, vendor or visitor to our premises.
  3. Provide preventive and primary health care services to patients within scope of licensure and training and the health center's credentialing and privileging policies.
  4. Will provide medical care to acute and chronic patients; willing to provide same-day and walk-in appointments as needed
  5. Provide oversight and collaboration with mid-level providers and medical students
  6. Complete medical records accurately and timely.
  7. Code services and diagnoses correctly.
  8. Participate in quality improvement activities, including peer review.
  9. Participate in community health improvement initiatives such as Substance Use Disorder Treatment, HIV Prep/Pep and other programs identified by COMC leadership and the needs of our patients/community
  10. Participate in scheduled provider staff meetings, peer review, and will represent the health center in the community during health center events
  11. Will participate in limited call schedule with other COMC providers.
  12. Must comply with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
  13. Perform related work as required.
