SCHEDULE

Together, we will discuss and create an optimal schedule that accommodates training, business requirements, and animal care. Staff rotate weekends, and we offer animal care on all holidays.

ARE YOU THE VETERINARY KENNEL ASSISTANT OUR TEAM NEEDS?

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills
• Desire to learn and grow in the animal care field

DAY TO DAY

You get to work with a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, rats, mice, and occasional birds or fish. Your responsibilities include basic animal husbandry, supervising group play with boarding dogs, cleaning our kennel, and updating records as well as providing care such as feeding, medicating, and grooming. Attentively, you recognize signs of illness in boarding animals and perform basic "To Go Home" cleansing baths and nail trims. We maintain a Fear Free work environment and emphasize effective communication with our hospital technicians and doctors.
