About the Role:

The role of Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities. Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees organizational systems for gathering data, analyzing information, confirming the accuracy of their staff’s reports and provide recommendations for improving accounting methods.
  • Understanding of all types of financial operations at Mainstream and how they work together including debts, assets, cash forecasting, payroll, capital assets and revenue analysis.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure the organization's accounting practices remain compliant.
  • Guide the implementation of new financial initiatives and generate reports to share progress with their team.
  • Make suggestions on overall company strategies to meet goals about financial transactions.
  • Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
  • Handle the company’s transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting.
  • Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze financial accounting data.
  • Create financial reports based on data analysis.
  • Guide A/P and help determining cash outflow.
  • Manage Month End Closing Procedure.
  • Additional financial duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, required.
  • Master’s degree in accounting or related field desired
  • At least two to five years of work experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Staff supervisory experience as well as experience in preparing general ledgers, financial reports, budgetary reports, and financial forecasting.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience with complex accounting subjects. For example, prepaid expenses, capital leases and finance leases and insurance accounting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include preparing and maintaining accurate records; operating standard office equipment; utilizing pertinent software applications; and record keeping.
