IT Asset Management Support Analyst

Space Ground System Solutions, a Parsons company, has an immediate part-time opening for an IT Logistics Support Analyst on its IT Support and Antenna Services team.  In this role, you will help with the efficient, smooth, and precise tracking of IT assets within the growing organization. In this role, you will be able to systematically assist with asset planning and purchasing, provide project coordination, fix asset issues, perform technical support and manage IT assets. As the organization continues to mature, the IT Asset Analyst will be pivotal in managing everything from digital assets to cloud services. Your ability to systematically approach software and hardware, such as licenses, service contracts, and warranties will be an important step in improving the productivity of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate management of the hardware lifecycle management process, from purchasing/receiving to disposal
  • Responsible for documenting serial number on Receiving Tickets (and forwarding photos of serial number to Purchasing and Logistics departments), assist with asset tagging
  • Create/maintain documentation of asset locations, serial numbers, asset tag number
• Assist with completion of physical inventories of IT assets including data centers
  • Assist with reconciliation and resolution of asset data discrepancies by liaising with appropriate stakeholders
  • Assist with updates and maintenance of information in the asset repository in a timely manner
  • Perform searches for equipment not found during inventory
  • Assist with conducting research and data analysis of IT assets (laptops, servers, network equipment, software licenses, etc.)
• Assist with Annual IT Subscription Renewals
  • Create/maintain documentation for services or software subscriptions to include vendor information, period of performance renewal date, serial numbers, cost, and warranties
  • Prior to subscription expiration date (three month), review and help verify that the subscription is still needed andor needs updated (add or subtract to services or software subscriptions)
  • Reach out to vendor's request quotes if cost is over 10k three additional quotes are needed
  • Coordinate with Purchasing team to create Purchase Requisition to secure funding and process order
  • Verify receipt of licenses once purchase is complete
• Assist in coordinating IT logistics activities (shipping, disposal, pickups and completion of asset movement based on the associated processes and records)
• Collaborate with Hardware Asset Management peers, IT Support, IT Procurement and key Data Center partners

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or higher degree in business administration, accounting, logistics or related field
• 2 - 3 years of experience in logistics management or customer service
• Proficiency with Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Self-starter, dependable/reliable, able to work independently or in a team environment
• Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented, proactive and highly organized while prioritizing work and multi-tasking
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred experience with Hardware Asset ManagementSoftware provisioning in a large Data Center environment
• Demonstrated experience establishing appropriate structure, size, and scale for the IT asset management discipline, balancing the risk posture of the Company based on the company's current size and maturity
• 2-3 years' experience as Tier 1 Support Technician with a solid understanding of multiple technologies
• Diagnosing and solving computer issues
• Installing and training end users in new technologies
• Outstanding customer service providing end-user with timely technical advice and support as needed
• 2-3 years' experience in CMMC Asset management with the ability to detect, classify, inventory and track/log all the hardware and associated services, software and other technology that stores, processes, or transmits Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
