Description

Medica is currently seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to join our team. This will be a fit for someone that has a passion for Human Resources and enjoys leading cross functional projects that partner with leaders and subject matter experts at Medica. We are looking for candidates that are agile, strong communicators, and balance between presenting to key stakeholders while at the same time diving deep into the details of the project plan. Additionally, the incumbent will act as a utility player and support multiple facets of HR processes and operations outside of project work.

The Project Manager will drive critical projects and initiatives across the various HR Centers of Excellence (Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Employee Relations, and Talent Acquisition). The candidate must have a foundational understanding of Human Resources functions. They must be able to communicate clearly, facilitate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete life cycle of internal projects, including planning, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time
  • Provide project management support and guidance, project status reports, as well as other relevant materials to the project team, external stakeholders, and leadership
  • Monitor and track milestones and schedules, inclusive of status, dependencies, achievements, and risks/issues
  • Directly manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume environment
  • Organize function and project activities that may require cross-functional meetings, collaboration, and communication
  • Facilitate and build strategic communications, including identifying topics and milestones that should be communicated
  • Identify opportunities for HR automation and process improvements
  • Proactively address and resolve issues appropriately within the project
  • As needed, drive the contracting process with Medica's Legal team and the external vendor
  • Responsibilities outside of projects as assigned, including support of key HR processes and operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3+ years of work experience beyond degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong foundational understanding of Human Resources functions and operations (Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong facilitation and relationship management skills
  • Adaptable and comfortable working collaboratively and independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise communications for employees at all levels
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
  • Ability to pivot between project and non-project work to support a variety of Human Resources activities

This position is a Remote role. The employee must be located in any state in which Medica is an employer and will work remotely 100% of the time.

The full salary range for this position is $75,300 -$129,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
