DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Remove, install, disassemble, lubricate and maintain a variety of equipment utilized in an industrial wastewater treatment setting including but not limited to pumps, motors, mixers, conveyors, valves, gearboxes, drive chains, decanter centrifuges.
  • Follows standard guidelines, technical documents, manufacturer IOM for installation and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Utilize industrial equipment such as powered lifts, rigging and hoists.
  • Perform painting, coating and sealing as required.
  • Order and pick up materials as required.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with outside vendors as required.
  • Assist with plant cleaning tasks (tanks, pits, filter media change out, etc)
  • Answer emergency calls when on uncontrolled standby.
  • Assist with general plant operations as operations dictate.
  • Attend safety meetings, complete training requirements and perform all work in a safe manner
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Schedule has some flexibility (day shifts only).
  • Tools negotiable.
 
 
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience in a plant setting.
  • Experience installing and maintaining pumps.
  • Welding and fabricating experience (stick, MIG, mild steel, stainless).
  • Process pipefitting experience a plus.
  • Electrical experience a plus.
  • Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
  • Pull/push 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis.
  • Twist and turn in full range of motion in arms, hands, torso, neck, back, and legs on a frequent daily basis.
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis.
  • Lift items over head on a frequent daily basis.
  • Crouch/stoop for prolonged periods.
  • Stand 6 or more hours per day.
  • Exposed to all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Work long hours.
