Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for a Director, Field Reimbursement in our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. In this role you will be accountable for effectively leading, developing, and directly managing a national team of Field Reimbursement Managers who have access and fulfillment related responsibilities, while ensuring healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers are enabled with the information, tools and resources needed to ensure patient ability to start and stay on therapy. This role will be highly visible within the organization and responsible for leading the team with providing education to healthcare providers and office staff on access services and reimbursement solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading a national team of Field Reimbursement Managers to maximize access & fulfillment.
  • Demonstrate core competencies and support team members in identifying, understanding, and addressing access & fulfillment related patient obstacles with education and awareness to HCP office which may include formulary coverage/utilization management criteria, insurance forms & procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeal, and/or claims education.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, develop, and retain a diverse and talented team who are competent and skilled in the Harmony Biosciences business, the healthcare marketplace, and in access & fulfillment.
  • Responsible for fostering communication and collaboration through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, which may include call center services (HUB), Patient Services, Trade and Distribution, Medical, Market Access, and field sales partners.
  • Develop and execute both a long and short-term strategic plan for the team and manage seamless team execution of related tactics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pull-through team vision, create team culture, manage FRM performance, forge valuable customer relationships, and achieve the team's overall goals.
  • Support and lead team in educating offices on the requirements to obtain insurance authorization and/or reimbursement of products for appropriate patients in a compliant manner using approved educational materials.
  • Manage daily activities that support appropriate patient access to Harmony's products by the provider offices and act as an extension of the HUB, as appropriate and provide in-person customer visits.
  • Conduct all activities in a compliant manner and will work closely within a defined set Rules of Engagement, and other company guidance documents.
  • Manage and allocate budget in alignment with team objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities of Field Reimbursement Managers.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or related discipline required.
  • 12+ years' experience within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry required; 3+ years' experience within reimbursement or access experience in limited distribution models required; Experience launching rare disease product(s) or complex specialty products preferred.
  • Experience managing field reimbursement teams and/or sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success of cross functional teamwork and working in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in the reimbursement process, field reimbursement service, and patient support programs.
  • Experience in coordinating patient and provider support services such as specialty pharmacy, HUB, and reimbursement services.
  • Experience handling patient health information (PHI) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Must be properly licensed and able to safely operate and drive an automobile to perform duties associated with role: must have a valid driver's license issued in the U.S and a driving record deemed safe by the company.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Domestic travel is estimated to be 75% of the time for this position.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Manual dexterity required to use computers, tablets, and cell phone.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.
