About this job

The purpose of this position is to manage the complete payroll process for YRCI to ensure that employees are paid accurately and promptly, and in compliance with YRCI policies and external regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: Provide the primary interface within the Paycor payroll system; make changes and updates to company information such as tax rates and State ID numbers. Ensure accurate and on-time government reporting and compliance. Receive payroll output, check for accuracy, provide transactions for CostPoint Accounting system entry. Reconcile all payroll-related transactions within the CostPoint Accounting system and Paycor payroll system. Work closely with HR to assist in processing new hires, terminations, and status changes. Supervise maintenance of the automated Paycor Payroll System and assist in installation and maintenance of such Paycor System Modules; adapt the system to handle any new requirements such as management and tax laws. Establish policies and procedures that ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Submit and validate transaction reports, which show all online payroll data for each pay period and ensure that necessary corrections are made. Ensure that payroll updates are timely and accurately prepared. Submit all reports required by senior management. Verify, input, and generate manual adjustments to payroll; input or upload all benefits deductions and earnings. Ensure that employees have correct addresses on the payroll for W-2 mailing. Compile additional income figures included in W-2s for General Accounting according to their instructions. Coordinate the reporting and mailing of state and Federal copies of W-2s and ensure deadlines are met. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Human Resources. Two (2) to four (4) years of payroll administration experience; at least two (2) years as a Payroll Lead. Knowledge and experience with commercial payroll applications. Experience working in a government contracting environment. Experience with Paycor. Experience of Deltek CostPoint systems is a plus. Experience with, and in-depth knowledge of, Excel including, functions, summarization, and formatting – experience with advanced functions, pivot tables and data queries is a plus. Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Strong customer service skills. Strong collaboration skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, ability to influence firmly while preserving good customer relations. Must be able to plan and prioritize assigned tasks. Must have solid understanding of Payroll compliance. Deadline oriented.
