Job Title : Sr. Principal SW Engineer: TCS RKE2 Transition Lead - DOD Secret Location: Fairfax, VA Wage Range: $90-95/hr Job Number: 24-00491 Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer: TCS RKE2 Transition Lead with an active DOD Secret clearance to work from their Fairfax, VA facility. As Senior Principal Software Engineer for the TCS Program, you'll stand up and lead a cross functional team responsible for migrating the TCS Platform as a Service (PaaS) from K8s to RKE2. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: hands on Kubernetes/RKE2 experiences, comfort with PaaS installation technologies (such as Kubespray), and technical leadership experience. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
