Kalmbach Swine Management (KSM), Ohio’s largest pork producer, is currently seeking highly motivated sow farm maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate would be mechanically inclined and have experience with electrical, mechanical, and structural trouble shooting and repairs.

About the Role:

  • Repair, replace, remove, and/or modify sow farm structures and equipment to correct problems of a mechanical, electrical, and/or structural nature.
  • Assess, diagnose, and evaluate problems of a mechanical, electrical, and/or structural nature.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (e.g. lubrication, inspection, etc.) for sow farm structures and equipment.
  • Maintain work area, tools, parts, and equipment in a clean and organized manner for the purposes of safety, efficiency, and appearance.
  • Perform other related corrective maintenance functions or duties as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Safety/OSHA knowledge.
  • Ability to meet tight schedules and handle multiple assignments.
  • Electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing or farming environment.
  • Ability to read electrical prints preferred.
  • Ability to install, diagnose, repair, wire and maintain a variety of production and building equipment.
  • Basic welding & plumbing experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing or farming environment. 3 years’ experience preferred.
  • GED/HS diploma required.
  • Driver’s License- Daily travel to farms via company owned vehicle.
